The MCC Library & Educational Technology Department is happy to announce the availability of a virtual reality kit that can be set up in most campus locations in either a room scale or seated configuration.The kit includes an HTC Vive headset with audio strap, two controllers, two base stations and an ASUS ROG gaming laptop. A second kit is owned by the Information Management and Technology Department. The laptop contains a library of VR applications intended for educational or recreational purchases. The VR Apps page lists the apps currently installed by subject or discipline.
MCC faculty and students may schedule appointments to use the equipment on Mondays and Thursdays in LRC A142 from 12:30pm - 2:30pm (some exceptions are noted). Walk-ins are also permitted to use the equipment if no appointments have been scheduled. Sessions will be limited to 15 minutes per person for health and safety reasons. All users must sign the terms of use policy to use the equipment.
