Course Overview:

ESL 165 is an academic writing-reading course for the high intermediate ESL student. Writing skills integrated with advanced grammar will be the focus of this course. Intensive writing of paragraphs will correspond to the in-depth exploration of various paragraph styles.  Students must complete the course with a grade of C or better to be eligible for ESL 166.

Required Textbook: - Writing First with Readings, Paragraphs, and Essays, 6th edition
